The Public Safety Committee was established as a subcommittee to the Mendota City Council to address issues relating to public safety, including law enforcement, fire protection, and code enforcement issues. The Committee is lead by Chairperson Councilor Jose Alonso, Vice-Chairperson Mayor Pro Tem Libertad “Liberty” Lopez, and Commitee Member Joseph Amador.

The Committee meets monthly, on the first Monday of the scheduled month, at 12:00 in the Mendota City Council Chambers at 643 Quince Street.
