STREETS AND ROADS
Our goal this fiscal year is to provide construction, installation, maintenance and repair of streets, street lights, signs, pavement markings, and traffic control devices consistent with community and council expectations and applicable standards..

PARKS AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS
Our goal is to provide the community with clean, well-groomed park grounds and open spaces; regular maintenance of existing facilities; design and development of new park features.

STORM DRAIN
We operate and maintain the City’s storm drain system.

STREET SWEEPING
Our goal is to continue to provide clean streets for the residents of Mendota.  Currently the City contracts its street sweeping duties while we expect to receive a new CNG (compressed natural gas) powered street sweeper in the 2014-2015 budget year.

AIRPORT
With current staffing and funding issues we will continue to maintain the airport in an express manner assuring a safe runway for airport traffic.

GRAFFITI ABATEMENT
The department will continue to provide graffiti abatement services throughout the year.  Our goal is to provide a graffiti free community for our residents and visitors.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT
The building department will continue to provide building services in a timely manner. Plan examination and routine inspections continue to be provided by the department.
